AI Development Advisor
Job Description:
The AI Development Advisor will serve as a strategic and technical authority responsible for guiding the design, development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence solutions across the organization. This role bridges business strategy and advanced AI engineering, ensuring that AI initiatives are scalable, ethical, secure, and aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, strong advisory and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Advise executive leadership and technical teams on AI strategy, roadmap development, and long-term innovation initiatives.
Provide expert guidance on the design, development, deployment, and optimization of AI and machine learning models.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to recommend best-fit solutions.
Establish best practices for AI development, including model lifecycle management, performance monitoring, and scalability.
Ensure AI systems comply with ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations, and applicable U.S. laws and industry standards.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to align AI initiatives with business objectives.
Assess AI risks, limitations, and feasibility, providing mitigation strategies and governance recommendations.
Support AI integration into existing systems and workflows.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to AI and engineering teams.
Prepare executive-level documentation, reports, and presentations on AI performance, risks, and opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Masters or PhD preferred).
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles.
Demonstrated experience advising organizations on AI strategy and implementation.
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI.
Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Solid understanding of data governance, model risk management, and ethical AI principles.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an advisory, consulting, or leadership role.
Familiarity with MLOps practices and AI deployment at scale.
Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government, or enterprise technology).
Professional certifications in AI, cloud platforms, or data science.
Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $155,000 – $195,000 USD, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location.
