Job Description:

The Systems Assistant provides administrative and technical support for the organization's systems, software, and IT operations. This role assists with system maintenance, user support, documentation, troubleshooting, and operational coordination to ensure efficient and secure technology performance across the organization.

The Systems Assistant works closely with IT teams, end users, and operations staff to support daily system functions and maintain accurate records in a fully remote environment.

This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of organizational systems and applications
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and user access issues
  • Support system updates, installations, and configuration tasks
  • Maintain IT documentation, user records, and inventory logs
  • Assist with account provisioning, password resets, and permissions management
  • Monitor help desk tickets and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on technical support requests
  • Support data entry, reporting, and operational tracking activities
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology processes

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration support, or technical operations
  • Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and computer hardware
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ticketing and IT service tools such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management
  • Experience with user management tools such as Microsoft Active Directory or Microsoft Intune
  • Familiarity with cloud productivity platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Experience supporting remote or hybrid work environments
