Automation/Robotics Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation/Robotics Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, implement, and maintain automated systems and robotic solutions to improve manufacturing, production, and operational processes. This role requires a combination of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering expertise, along with hands-on experience in robotics and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automated machinery for manufacturing or operational processes.
Program, test, and maintain automation and robotic software, including PLCs, motion control systems, and robotic arms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and production) to optimize automation solutions.
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of existing automated systems.
Develop technical documentation, including system specifications, schematics, and user manuals.
Conduct research and stay updated with emerging automation and robotics technologies.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality regulations, and company policies.
Provide technical support and training to production teams on new automation systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
3+ years of professional experience in automation or robotics engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or MATLAB.
Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and robotic simulation software.
Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, industrial robots, and motion control systems.
Knowledge of industrial automation standards and safety protocols.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AI integration in robotics or machine learning applications.
Familiarity with CAD software and mechanical design tools.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
Experience with industrial IoT and smart factory technologies.
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual Salary: $95,000 – $135,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
